PT 221 Course at a Glance

Expository Preaching from the NT

Lectures By: Dr. Stafford Carson

Effective for the Academic Year: 2025-2026

Course Description

In this course we are picking up on some important fundamental points about preaching that were made in PT121 and seeking to apply them specifically to the task of preaching from the New Testament. You will be reminded of some of the topics we covered in PT121 and given some additional opportunities to put into practice what we learned in that first course. This course will also expand on the hermeneutics and disciplines of preaching expository sermons from the NT. Much of this course will be given over to sermon workshops where you will have the opportunity to preach a sermon, reflect on it personally, and then receive feedback from your peers and from myself as you seek to develop and hone your preaching skills.
