TE 6 Course at a Glance
Excellence in Theological Writing
Lecturing Faculty: Pierce Hibbs
Effective for the 2023-2024 Academic Year
Course Description
Excellence in Theological Writing exists to train students in the what and how of theological writing so that they can be properly assessed by Westminster faculty and can continue after seminary in proclaiming the whole counsel of God to a world that desperately needs to hear and read it. In essence, part of your theological training is becoming a wordsmith: someone who thinks carefully about words—not only which ones to choose, but how to organize them, how to use them to focus a reader’s attention, and how to achieve certain effects on readers for the glory of God and the advancement of his kingdom.
