Stellic: Your Degree Planning Tool

We are pleased to introduce Stellic, a new online tool for student degree planning and student-advisor collaboration. Stellic allows you to visualize and chart your path towards graduation and will help your advisors and program administrators get a clearer picture of your plans and how we can best support you during your program.

Here is what you can do with Stellic:

  • Create a degree plan by dragging, dropping and adding courses between terms and years Please note: the course schedule for multiple years in the future is still being finalized. It may be best to start by only planning your next year or two of courses.
  • Visualize your term schedules based on your registration
  • Communicate with advisors for degree plan collaboration and approval

Visit wts.stellic.com and log in with your Canvas and Populi username and password to get started!

Using Stellic

First, log in with your Canvas and Populi username and password. On your home screen, you will see three options: Track, Plan, and Schedule. You will primarily use the Plan and Track features.

How do I plan my degree?

Making a plan for yourself (or with your advisor) is not only important to help keep you on track to graduation, but also helps our team and your faculty members best support the courses you want when you need them!

To get started, you’ll want to go into the “Planner” section of Stellic, by either clicking on “Go to planner” from the home screen or “Plan Your Path” on the left sidebar.

Drag and Drop

On the right side of the planner screen, you’ll see a list of remaining requirements for your degree. Simply click on the requirement you’d like to plan and drop it into the appropriate term. Stellic will help show you which term courses are offered and will alert you if a course isn't offered. If you need additional time to complete the degree, click "add year" near the bottom of your screen to find additional terms.

What happens after I make a plan?

Celebrate! Your advisor will receive a notification of your plan and review it within a few days. We will mark it as reviewed if all looks well or add suggestions if needed.

Can I make changes to my plan?

Yes! Creating a plan in Stellic does not register you for the course or guarantee your seat. Remember, Stellic is a planning tool. You will still need to register for courses in Populi during the appropriate registration window for each upcoming term.

How do I track my degree?

Tracking your degree helps you to see the progress of your studies! Stellic provides a progress bar that will help to show which courses you have completed, planned, and still need.

The green bar indicates courses that you have already completed. The golden yellow bar indicates courses that are currently in progress (in the Planned view, this will include all courses you have added to your plan, and in the Official view, it will include courses for which you are registered but have not yet completed). The gray bar indicates the remaining number of courses you need to fulfill the various requirements in your plan.

Who is my advisor? How can I ask for help?

You can find your assigned advisor on your student dashboard in both Populi and Stellic. However, we have a whole team of advisors, and any can help support your studies and will be reviewing your degree plans in Stellic. You can set up a degree planning meeting with an advisor here or email support@wts.edu.
